Imprisoned Rapper who keeps Shabbat–Priceless
Jamaal Barrow, or Shyne, as he’s known professionally, is three years into a ten year sentence but that hasn’t stopped him from signing a multi-million dollar record contract with Def Jam Records, or keeping Shabbat.
The rapper, a former protege of Sean “not a Jew” Combs, is apparently now observing Shabbat from behind bars, in what he says is a nod to his great-grandmother, an Ethiopian Jew.
