Yitzhak Rabin’s daughter, Dalia Rabin-Pilosoff, specifically uninvited Shimon Peres to the big concert in the square for the first time. I remember her voicing some serious questions about the death of her father and the investigation that left a lot unanswered. Does she also think that Shimon was behind part of it?

According to the Maariv article, they didn’t want to give it a “political flavor” so Peres and Barak didn’t speak.

were you at the rally? It wasn’t a memeorial event, it was a political rally. Did you see how many signs were promoting ‘Yahad’, the new Meretz-Beilin party? How many religious people were invited to speak?

Josh, of course it had political overtones. The point of the article is that they wanted to minimize this and bring “real people” who aren’t politicians to speak at the rally.
