So many outragous things happening these days. I have linked to the Blogs of Zion post as well in my longer piece on the media coverage of Abu Ghraib and Darfur in Germany and the US.

I write for the Atlantic Review, a press digest on transatlantic affairs edited by three German Fulbright Alumni.

Here's my post: <a href="http://atlanticreview.org/archives/285-Why-is-Abu-Ghraib-a-cover-story-again,-but-not-Darfur.html" rel="nofollow">Why is Abu Ghraib a cover story again, but not Darfur?</a>
I thought you might be interested.

What schmucks! Still more reasons to hate the Times. More repetition of the same disasters. They threw out some of their best reporters who were reporting on the same sort of actions in Central America during the 1980's (Ray Bonner) and now they're cosying up to another genocidal regime. Shades of William Duranty and Ol' Red Uncle Joe all over again. These guys truly never learn from their past mistakes. Just pile on the bodies higher and make the pile deeper. Geez, how miserable to have this as your major 'paper of record'. USA Today has more going for it. Cheers, 'VJ', ga.

Dear Mr. Nick
It bothers each time the Times puts in a special country section dedicated almost always by a country that abuses human rights. I recall the special Nigeria section, and Saudi section, a Kuwait section and on.

What is SO egregious about this mind you, is that Sudan is under censure for promoting genocide by the UN. Nigeria, Saudi etc, were in not such a precarious international position.

Sudan is awash in oil and being protected by China and the Russians. Its a huge human tragedy we are all guilty of not doing enough about.

The NY Times should be shamed for this.

I doubt the NYTimes would consider even for a moment publishing an ad for the KKK, although I do understand the point about separating between the editorial component and the advertising revenue. Genocide, though, should be an exception to this rule.

The reason this upsets me so much--other than the obvious reason of supporting a genocidal regime--is that the NYTimes has been blasted lately for not doing enough to report about the Holocaust. Have they learned nothing?
