Jon Stewart and the Mossad

Well, not really. I mean let’s face it, Jon Stewart is a great fake news show host, but he would make a really bad Mossad agent, what with all the tie straightening and weird impressions of GW Bush.

So, odds are that tonight’s Daily Show guest, director of the Center for Strategic and Policy Studies at The Hebrew University’s School for Public Policy and former director of the Mossad Efraim Halevy, has not been sent to recruit Stewart to work on behalf of the Jewish State.

But just in case, we’d better watch anyway. Tonight, April 24th on Comedy Central. Check your local listings. (And if you miss him on the Daily Show, check out Halevy on his media blitz in promotion of his new book…details are here.)

UPDATE: Missed the interview? See it online here. (Hat tip to AKS

  1. Hey, I don’t know if it’s okay to comment like this but I’ll do it anyway. Do anyone know what has happened to redheadded jewish girl’s blog? redheaddedjewishgirl.blogspot.com, which you link to in the sidebar. I can’t find it anylonger? I used to read it all the time, but it hasn’t been up for probably 2 weeks now. If you know anything please let me know. Thanks

  2. Our Jewlicious Mossad operatives have been in contact with RHJG and we are sad to report that she has gone underground. Her blog is now private – friends only – because of some dumb ass stalker who was harassing her. I’ll let her know that she will be missed.

  3. I’m glad RHJG went private. I used her blog as an object lesson for my teenage daughter about how easy it is to be found on the internet no matter how undercover you think you are. She dropped just enough clues that I was able to uncover her full name, school and city in just under 1/2 an hour. I suppose it helps that I’m a researcher by trade, but the fact that I was able to do it so easily scared the heck out of my daughter. It scared me, too. I debated emailing RHJG a maternal sort of warning, but my kid said I’d come off as a wack job no matter what I wrote. So I didn’t. Now I kind of wish I had before she starting being stalked. Maternal instinct is never wrong. Unless you’re Andrea Yates, a mom should go with her guts even if the kid isn’t hers.

  4. Can somebody post a link to a clip?

  5. Wow. It was incredbile to see Jon Stewart expose himself as the total loony that he is. That was wildly funny.

  6. Hmm okay thanks for the info, that sucks. The only thing I thought about was that her friends might be able to identify her. Or someone at her school. Since the names of her friends werent fake, right? If the names were fake then you’d have to be some kind of agent to track her down, at least to find out about personal stuff. City and school might not have been impossible. Anyway thanks. Oh and by the way, I’m not the creepy stalker :)

  7. The Jon Stewart clip of this interview is now linked in this post…Enjoy!

  8. For the record, I wasn’t stalked. Someone emailed me (definitely coming off as a wack-job, by the way) and told me that he knew exactly who I was. I instantly delete delete deleted, right down to my myspace and all other personal pages. I find it creepy that “Barbara” spend a half hour figuring out who I am, but to each their own. Some people can’t stand to leave a thing alone.
