However, that is not the same thing as saying something is good or bad for the US. If Iran has a significant foothold in Lebanon, why wouldn't the US seek to stick their own foot in? I wonder if jewlicious was around about ten years ago, there’d be the same optimistic speculation that American army and CIA experts training the PA forces might come at the expense of Israel to some degree.

I’d think that over 1200 dead Jews and another 5000 wounded would change attitudes.
