Here’s some Hanukkah math for ya.
Fergie (from the Black Eyed Peas) + fried potato pancakes = Latkelicious.
The lyrics took two weeks to perfect, and the MP3 took about sixty hours for auteur/rapper/latke-afficionado Jon Fursh to record. Where’d he get the funding? Neely and Bernie. (Mom and Dad.) Aww.
I have a low tolerance for bad parody. But thankfully, so must Fursh. Because this parody is parodilicious. It’s instantly recognizable as a parody of Fergie’s tune, the lyrics aren’t forced, and the song is refreshingly absent of overused stereotypes.
