G-d wanted us to know there is more to the world than nature.

G-d wants us to eat at a reasonable hour on Friday nights. That is why we do not recite an entire science textbook on Friday night.

Science is fascinating, six days a week. On Friday nights it becomes irrelevant, as we recite the big story about how G-d made the world in six days, and santified the seventh day,. That is how we are not prisoners of nature, as He is not, either.

Evolution does not injure faith, because it is just a description. It is just a very advanced, fancy description, like a snowflake having six branches, because that is how water molecules line up in crystals, because of how oxygen and hydrogen atoms stick to each other.

The more we learn about nature, the more we are awed by its Maker.

Observation cannot injure faith, because observation did not give us faith: we did not look out of the window and see G-d walking down the street. What observation did not give, it cannot take away.
