After all it is the Diaspora, and not the Zionist state, that has given us tis gift, this new epitome of Jewish culture.

Truly the people of the book can now rejoice. Not only do we have the Bible, the Gemorah, and the Talmud to our credit, but now we have a swimsuit calendar to our name as well.

This opens a whole realm of possibilities in Jewish book stores:
“You know what?
if you buy a full set of “Steinsaltz” I’ll throw in the calendar half price”

Don’t get me wrong, I’m no prude.
Anyone lecherous enough to buy the domain EroticIsrael.c... can’t really afford to throw prudish stones..
…But…

I guess I was hoping we wouldn’t make such a big deal out of showing off the goods…
After all the Scandinavians never seem to make a big fuss over some raunchy poses and they barely had a written language until 100 AD…

When will I stop hearing about Bar Rafaeli aka the most plain-looking Israeli model ever? Israel has plenty of beautiful women and this one is nowhere near the top of my list.
