Really Adam? You mean the hatred against Jews is there because of the Palestinians? You need to check out your history a little.

By the way, the Palestinians lost land because of wars they started, not because it was "taken" from them.

Well maybe you should give the land back to the palestinians, that may make you liked more. Though I do doubt it, you reap what you sow and you guys have been busily sowing for a long long time now....Lets hope the harvesting season doesn't come too soon eh?

Oh... wait. According to the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/05/world/asia/05mumbai.html?pagewanted=2&sq=mumbai&st=cse&scp=3
">New York Times</a>:

"Some of the six people killed at the Jewish center in the city had been treated particularly savagely, the police said, with bodies bearing what appeared to be strangulation marks and other wounds that did not come from gunshots or grenades."

OK. Now I feel bad again...

Today's Jpost: "Mumbai doctor finds no signs of torture on Chabad House bodies"

Of course, I agree with ck that as a Jew I mourn every inocent death but specially the ones that were killed for being Jews. But let's not use unverified sources to prove a point that, at this time, doesn't need adittional proofs: jihadists aren't anti-sionists, they are plain, regular anti-semites...

They are HEROES to me.

Yes, I was trained to value their actions. I live in
and was educated in a Jewish culture where I was
taught to look up to HEROES that behaved as the
Rabbi and Rabbineet.

Yes, what they did was action. Halavay, I would
have enough guts to do as they did before and
durring their captivity, torture and even death.

Yes, I am mostly focusing my SENTIMENT of the
victims of the Nariman House. Mainly because I
know more about who they are and what great
things they have done in the past to for the sake of
the Indian and Jewish community. There are other
Jewish ppl who fell in those attacks that passed in
the way of Kidush Hashem, but I don't know as
much details as the case of the Rabbi and Rabineet.
However, I am learning of the many details of the
rest of the Jews and Non - Jews that have also
Heroically contributed to the story. I do make a
distinction between those that heroically fall due to
Meserat Nefesh as victim and between the
deliberate higher level of sacrifice as a Chayal for
Israel. One argument can be made is that in the
case of the Rabbi and his wife they deliberately
stationed themselves in the line of danger as a
soldier - Chayal does. They knew the danger, yet
they persisted in doing great things to improve the
environment in which they served for some time, as
I believe somthing like 5 years in a Hot area known
for terrorism.

A hero is aware he's facing certain death and chooses that path. A martyr is a person that dies for his faith, but this somewhat clashes with Jewish eschatology. I don't like the word hero as it insinuates the victims had chosen this dreadful fate.

They died doing a mitzva. So, yes, they are heroes. It's totally OK to call them that. I wouldn't call them 'Martyrs' though. like I read elsewhere.

And please, they are victims, not heroes. Heroes choose certain death and deliberately pay that price for a greater good. I strongly believe that the Jewish victims did not want to die, that the rabbi and his wife would have loved to see their baby boy grow up. Do those people justice. Call them victims.
