After seeing the hilariousness that Joel Moss Levinson, aka Happy Joel, is capable of, after seeing a half-dozen videos he created on YouTube, I reached out and asked Joel if he would be a Presenter at Jewlicious Festival 5.0.
Turns out that Happy Joel has a long history of involvement with Jewish causes, including several years crossing the country as a youth-group song leader, and has a good Jewish education. He has been plying his trade as a comic writer and honing his skills with his NY Based brother. They were commissioned to create the hilarious Torah commentaries for NextBook too.
Over a delicious pastrami-burger at Jeff’s Gourmet, a plug for a generous Festival sponsor, Eric Rosen and I had a chance to meet the legendary viral video king himself. Joel will be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, tonight, and I would recommend TiVo’ing it, if you can’t watch it live.
The next best thing will be to come to Jewlicious Festival in four months and meet him for yourself at a workshop.
