Ben Yehuda: You are absolutely correct. I’m sorry if I implied that you wanted Jewish women to wear turbans and veils. Your position, based on Rambam, was significantly more nuanced than that. What was going through my head was that if you tried to tell my Mom, who is as G*d fearing woman as you’d ever meet, that she had to wear one of those things on her head – purple or otherwise, she’d tear your eyes out! But thanks for pointing out the discrepancy between your post and what I wrote in such a kind manner. My apologies!

No one can accuse you of not being “fair and balanced.”

Excellent job with the annotation, too.

Turbans for women? Um,…nope, especially NOT the bright purple, “I knew Reb Shlomo better than you” kind of turbans.

Veils? One of our fellow bloggers brought that up in a comment, not I. I specifically didn’t for the reason I mentioned.
