No. The title of this post does not refer to the latest Israeli military tech innovation. It is merely the product of Eric Cartman’s fevered imagination as manifested in episode 5 season 13 of “South Park.” Created by the half-Jewish duo of Matt Stone (Jew) and Trey Parker (not a Jew), the show is a testament to the genius of creativity with this particular episode based on a joke involving gayness, fish genitals, Kanye West and yes, Jewbots.

These didn’t seem like very advanced Cyborg type robots. They marched upon the town of South Park and Eric Cartman was able to dispatch them with ease, using his imaginary flame thrower powers. Like that stupid puppet always says, “Fascinating!” Yes, this is how I’ve been spending my time lately. Catching up on South Park. Not traveling like froylein, or going on amazing adventures like ck, or doing much of anything other than the usual Passover related activities and surfing on the Internet. News of Mel Gibson’s impending adultry driven divorce (sugar tits?) gave me a much appreciated shot of schadenfreude, while this Jewish NYC gal’s pathetic “love” life made me appreciate quiet weekends alone spent reading a good book. New York Magazine’s touching profile of the Holtzbergs (the Chabad couple murdered in Mumbai by Islamic terrorists) made me sad again.

Finally, there’s the story that won’t die even though no one cares. To summarize, the JTA sent out a fundraising letter that insulted bloggers and tweeters. The JBloggers got pissed and the JTA backtracked. That should have been the end of it right? But then the Forward picked up the story and interviewed blogger Dan Brown and JTA’s Dan Sieradski. It seemed like an innocuous piece until Sieradski tweeted the following “Is Dan Brown kidding? http://ow.ly/2ttG Maybe I should post the emails which show why he’s really mad at JTA…” The Forward article stated that Sieradski was “Formerly a leading blogger known for his provocative commentary” who stated in response to this kerfuffle “Now I’m learning what it feels like to get a taste of my own medicine.” Sieradski however clearly still knows how to dish it out, not just in response to Dan Brown but also on Luke Ford’s blog where he publicly accused Ford of thievery for using JTA’s content and generally insulted him.

This is some very heady stuff. Especially since the JTA has no problem quoting extensively from other sources (6 paragraphs from TMZ here). And if I may, the last thing I read from the JTA was so ill informed, I had to read it twice: The JTA’s Philanthropy blogger suggesting that the AviChai Foundation was somehow remiss in not blending The Kavana Group, The Moishe House, and the PresenTense Institute. The problem is that the AviChai Foundation is a private philanthropy that has to spend all the money it has within the next few years. It doesn’t have to worry about overlap the way Federations, who get their money from community contributions, have to. Also, and more importantly, all three groups are totally different. Kavana is Seattle based. The Moishe House organization simply opens up Moishe Houses in different cities where residents, in exchange for subsidies on their rent, create little centers of random Jewish activity. Presentense exists basically to foster Jewish innovation. The 3 organizations are effectively totally different! Never mind all that though. I am very happy that Jewish Story telling is safe, sound and professional in the hands of the JTA experts.

But again, I have to remind myself that no one cares. We need bloggers. We need the JTA. And we need Eric Cartman’s “Flame on, flame off” powers to save the day. Happy Passover. See you on the chametz side…

  • Oh, Wendy, you just need to pack some stuff, and off you go. 🙂 I’m already planning my next trips.

  • Heh. Sorry CD. But Ren and Stimpy? They were well ahead of their time… but we all are intimately familiar with them!

    Steeeempy! Yopu eeeediot!

  • since i am in good terms again, i am gonna give some pro arab propaganda, and no its not anti israel or anti jewish

its about this saudi prince who won an award for an extraordinary invention

    heres a hint

“Prince Nayef Bin Mamdouh Bin Abdul Aziz was recently honoured with the grand prize of the International Federation for Inventors (IFIA) for his entry at the 27th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, a rescue and relief helicopter complete with a massive firefighting unit”

you might ask why you should care, well my answer is this

people always ask what the contributions of arabs are, this article should shut people up

the strange thing is arab inventions hardly receive any press in the world

  • If froylein existed, she would probably be hot. Nothing like the allure of the forbidden.

  • CD dude. I’m an Arab Jew. Arab culture has enriched my life and Western society tremendously. I am happy that Prince Nayef Bin Mamdouh Bin Abdul Aziz has invented something awesome that will likely save many lives. We’ve never said Arabs are neanderthals or have never contributed anything to the world. You must have us confused with some other site. But I do like it when you behave.

  • Did I miss something? I thought it was pretty much common knowledge that Arabs gave algebra to the world, tho’ considering how badly I struggled with it as a kid maybe it was more of a curse than a blessing 😉

  • Kinda of subject.I was wondering what was with all the casual jew bashing on fox tv tonite.First was the comment made on the new fox show Sit Down Shut up.Which was not funny at all. Then the Family Guy Drug commericals.Family guy really has gotten lame lately.
