Well, so far we’ve managed to raise $334.17 US for hungry Jerusalemites. If we make it to say…. $540, that’s 30 times CHAI, I’ll make a high res certificate.

Where did the 17 cents come from? Someone thought they’d be funny and donate $17.17 – is there any significance to that number? I have no idea… we may never know…

Fabulous guide! You should provide print-out certificates for anyone who finishes reading your post certifying that they are bona fide social media expert/guru types.

The sad thing is that you demonstrated how easy the twitter part of social media is, and yet the Jewish communities still don’t get it and aren’t there.

If only they appreciated Jewlicious more. Seriously.

CK, funny and interesting.

I do think that there is much to be gained from social media integration in the Jewish community. We’re growing into it, but so much is still lacking. Sure, limiting your “expertise” to growing a Twitter fan base is pretty ridiculous, but that leaves out the other valuable tools that said Jewish social media expert could offer the community.

For the sake of an example, Gesher City Boston, an organization dedicated to reaching out and involving young people in the Jewish community, is one group that is using Twitter well. Check them out: twitter.com/ge.... There’s a lot to be said for this.

I’m agreeing with Lisa Colton, who has the comment above you on the Leibovitz article. She is what a real Jewish social media expert looks like (Twitter following or no).

Twitterverse: Very interesting game masquerading as social thing. Resisted it at first but then I thought: So is life, really, what’s the big deal.

Going to any party, esp. biz networking = a game. You just don’t get to list your followers on your forehead.

The numbers game? Not so important to me. More interested in the relationships. But getting greedy and jaded with
success is not out of the question. It’s happened to better women than me.
