No. That was tactless and dirty and his non-apology was worse. But that’s not why. I’m not a prude. I like dirty jokes, even about under aged girls from time to time. JK.

No, I’ve been boycotting him for years because he is a partisan hack, and what’s worse, he’s not funny anymore. There was a great article a few weeks back by Greg Gutfeld (an American Jew who’s not delusional) on Big Hollywood’s blog that talks specifically about how he lost his humor and charm, unlike when he was younger, back when I liked him.

There’s nothing more annoying than a comedian who tries to be a journalist or a political analyst. Clown nose off when grilling right wingers they don’t like with that serious, credulous look, and clown nose back on when they are asked a question they can’t answer or the tables are turned. That’s why I despise Jon Stewart too, well, that and he’s a self-hating Jew IMO. I don’t find Leno funny, but I like his business sense, and it starts by being an equal opportunity offender and not alienating half of your viewership right off the bat.

Unfortunately, I’m too pompous to be jealous…so I’ve been told.

@Yoni C: I haven’t been here in 2.5 years. The last time I wrote was to a guy named “Joachim von T. Zu T.” Hope he’s still healthy. In any event, when I saw brunoborat,
I couldn’t restrain my pent up rant. I will continue to eschew him, Letterman, and just about everything else, now that I think about it.

I’m fairly certain Bruno will be as funny as Borat – which is pretty good, but not nearly as good as Cohen’s earlier material. If you can get a hold of it – watch “Da Ali G Show” – and I don’t mean the HBO version (still funnier than Borat) – I mean the original British version. That was brilliance. I can hope he’ll prove me wrong and go back to his comedic roots.

teachem2think ~ Who are you? and why do you think anyone was anxiously awaiting your opinion?

I thought Sasha (not Bruno btw) was pretty darn articulate and sounded pretty knowledgeable with Letterman. I was happy he didn’t do the Bruno shtick like he did on Conan, I am pretty sure that was Dave’s idea.

Since you have all been wondering about my opinion regarding “Bruno,” I’ll put it to you very bluntly:
he is annoying, overrated, and violence-inspiring.
Only Hollywood and the Big Bagel could promote such
unadulterated crap. Oh, yeah, he’s “very smart”; he attended Cambridge. Oh, and is that where he picked up
his “outrageous…accent”? Whether he did or not, I’d
like to be the first to bitch slap him back into the
obscurity and anonymity from which he crawled. He and Letterman and Conan and anybody else who wants to talk with this p*tz deserve each other. I think that sums it up.
