larry: I'm talking raw tahini (which never needs to be refrigerated btw). Yes, you do need to add water and lemon juice, salt and crushed garlic but it is far superior to the processed, pre-mixed stuff.

Ben-David: I hate to say it but we've already done the blind tahini taste test. the Israeli stuff consistently lost to the Nablus stuff. Go figure.

my error... you are discussing dry mixes to which you add water. Hmmm... if I were a retailer, I do not see that great a market for dry tahini mixes when the refrigerated market is already sellings hundreds of millions in ready to eat hummus and tahini annually. It would be akin to selling powdered salsa in an already saturated fresh salsa economy.

I will update u on the hummus brands in a few hours. It is hard to sell refigerated prepared foods when starting out. So i do not think u will find packaged refigerated prepared foods via PalTrade in the US Market

hmmm.... Bugles knockoffs and Kit-Kat knockoffs... I sense the long arm of multinational franchising.

CK - I bet you could not tell the difference between small-label Israeli tahina and Pali-hini in a blind taste test.

What? No one from Al Jamal?? No one from Karawan? Forget Bugles and chocolate bars and potato chips! What America and the world needs is top quality Nablusian Tahini. The Syrian, Turkish, Lebanese and even Israeli stuff that's now available in the US is, I am sorry to say, total crap in comparison. Take note Paltrade!
