  1. It’s too bad this speech didn’t have a bit more context (ie. the study he was talking about, why birthright was so opposed at first.)
    His message does contain a truth though, and that truth is that it takes radical new ideas to bring change, to make a differnce and to have people notice. I find that many existing Jewish organizations (notably those aimed at younger people) preach to the converted. It’s hard to convince otherwise unaffiliated Jewish people that there’s benefit to learning more about their culture, their religion and their heritage.
