Enough of the doom and gloom. Here’s something a little nicer coming out of Israel.

One of my fave Idan Raichel memories is when he was in Ethiopia with his band members for a concert, and they are outside of the city, and when one of his band members describes the daily racism she ahd to put up with in Israel, he replies with some somewhat suprising conservative or naive points, and he says, ‘just cuz i have dreads doesn’t mean i am a liberal.’
