These days the Left and the pro-Palestinians - that is, the anti-Israel forces - tend to blame Israel for the Syria front in that war. I expect that we&#039;ll see some choice quotes and maybe even an unoriginal paragraph or two from Electronic Intifada or some other source soon.</description>

		<description>Assad is saying that if Israel wants peace, it has to return the Golan.  Well, the truth is that it should return the Golan.  Israel took it in a war it started without provocation from Syria.  
Given the context, I would say that the term Zionist occupation refers to the various areas that Israel occupies and not to Israel itself.</description>
