Then do some research about where the US gets its oil. There was no settlement building before 1967 and there was no peace. The settlements from Gaza were cleared ENTIRELY and every single Jew living there as well as every single soldier were removed. Did Israel get peace or more attacks? Attacks. Thousands of rockets. Tell that to your progressive friends. Bruce, look at a map and get a sense of which ARAB countries are within striking distance of Iran’s nukes. Then do some research about where the US gets its oil.

The simple reality is that there will be no peace as long as Israel is building illegal settlements in Jerusalem and the occupied territories. Obama and others are focusing almost exclusively on what Israel must do, because Israel is the problem here. That you people deny this demonstrates how biased you in fact are! Even Obama, someone I would say has not gone nearly far enough in criticizing Israel, can see this simple fact. And you would consider the American right an ally? (Personally, I think it's bupkiss, but then again, I'm an atheist). Also, I don't understand why Obama should focus on Iran so much. Iran has no capability of bombing the US or getting a nuke all the way to the US. It's hardly a crisis from Obama's perspective (despite what Faux News would have you believe with their absurd graphics of Iran or North Korean missiles reaching US soil).
