Memorial Day – Yom Hazikaron, in Machane Yehuda

Tonight we’re going to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel Independence Day, but since last night, the country has been in a sombre mood, honoring its veterans and remembering its fallen sons and daughters. The siren rang last night at 8 pm and again this morning at 11 am. I was at the shuk and recorded the moment of silence.

Sorry about the puppy yelping in the background. I’ve been watching him all day as his owner wasn’t home. Silly puppy.
