American Jewish World Service’s 25th Anniversary Gala Video Roast By Judd Apatow.
Having sat through many a boring promotional video, I can imagine the Apatow’s major complain against “save the world” fundraising is that it is so humorless. Everyone takes themselves so seriously. So Apatow takes the usual “celeb in front of a white backdrop” look that you see in other serious promotional videos for groups saving the world, and spins it on its head. Best line? I think my favorite line is where Ben Stiller suggests they change the name to Jewish American World Service, or J.A.W.S. for short.
