StandFour are 4 former members of the Maccabeats who graduated from Yeshiva University but still can’t shake that A Capella bug. They produced this video, a Hanukkah themed mashup of “Some Nights” by Fun, “Die Young” by Ke$ha and “Live While We’re Young” by One Direction. Now let me just say – I’m not a fan of this genre of music. I could make all kinds of mean comments – think Kurt Hummel continuing to hang out in the halls of McKinley High after graduation – but I won’t. I recognize that there are different strokes for different folks and that some of you may actually enjoy this… music. Also the video is a veritable primer in the latest Yeshiva University fashion trends! This season? Untucked button down shirts worn under a nice v-neck sweater, cardigan or, for the bold, a vest! Chinos and Pea Coats finish up the look that can be dubbed “Urban Yeshivish” sending the message “Yes, I’m frum but I would not look out of place among WASPs. Except for the kippah. And my girlfriend Chani.”

Yeah. I know. Same look YU’s been rockin’ for the last 30 years, but with less Argyle.

More importantly, the fine, fine members of StandFour have decided to direct people to the Israel Terror Relief Fund where folks can contribute to the Jewish Federations of North America’s “We Stand With Israel Campaign.” That’s a nice thing to do. So enjoy this video, make a nice donation, and Happy Hanukkah!
